A weekend with the little ones...

This last week was a lot of fun for me. I don't know if I have mentioned this before...but man, do we love our nieces and nephews! :) Two weeks ago I was able to watch Jocelynn while Jenn and James were able to go on a date. I think it's so important for my brothers and sisters to go out with their spouses. I know that once kids come along, you don't really get to do that as often as you would like. I am grateful that we have that opportunity to get closer with our nieces and nephews and my brothers and sisters can have some alone time with each other. Keven has been in Utah and we miss him so much. Everytime I walk in to see the little ones they automatically say "where's Keven?" It's pretty cute and I love that relationship they have with their Uncle. We love you so much Keven! Our sister in law is pregnant with her 3rd boy and is due in about 2 to 3 weeks. I figured once Nathan is born, they really won't be able to go out for some time, so I told them I would watch their two boys, Aiden and Tyler. I told my sister Jenn that her and and her husband might as well go out too since James will be starting school soon and will be busy with that. So me, Jocelynn, Tyler and Aiden had a fun time hanging out yesterday. We played with some playdoh, made forts with the couch pillows....AND the funnest part was our "water event." They got in their swimsuits and got on the trampoline. Then we got the hose and while the kids were running and jumping, I was splashing them. They couldn't stop laughing...which I love! The kids took turns splashing each other and it was pretty funny. It was 110 degrees in Corona yesterday, so it was nice to cool down and still be outside. One day, Keven and I want to have a huge slumber party at our house with all of the nieces and nephews! That's 10 though! ha! I think we can do it! :)

I told them I wanted to see their funny faces....I guess Jocelynn didn't get it cuz she still looks cute! :) I've been trying to upload the video's I have of them, but for some reason it's not working....maybe some other time....

I think it's awesome that you recognize how important it is for couples to go on dates after the kids come along. It IS really nice to spend some one-on-one time with your spouse and know that your kids are happy and safe with someone. And... how sweet of you to offer to watch the kids while they do this!
