Bitter Sweet

Well these last couple weeks have been bitter sweet. I gave my two weeks at my job in California, which I was so happy for, but that meant I had to leave my friends also from work. I really became really close with a lot of people from Ceridian and I really don't think that will change. We have still been able to keep in contact so that has been nice. It obviously was really hard to say "see you later" to my family also, but I know that we will see them all soon. I was really fortunate to have such great friends. It really hit me when I was coming to the last couple days and there were about 20 people that I went out to lunch with. You guys are the best!Vickie, Me, Margo and LinhKim, Me, Erika, and SokhaJenn and MeMe and Vickie (my BFF) :)Travis, Matt, Marcus, Kiera, Me and ToddAll of the above plus Donna, Joe, Michelle, Chris and Hazhel.

My family came over Friday night before I left, which meant a whole lot to me. I love my family so much and am so grateful for the friendships that we have. My mom and I went and saw Dear John the weekend before and that was a whole lot of fun too!! Although it's hard to not be with my family or friends all the time, I am just so happy for this journey Kev and I will have together. It was a long 6 1/2 months being away from each other, but we did it, and we came out on top. Saturday, after I went to my friend's baby shower, I headed to Utah. I stayed in St. George that night at family's home and drove the rest of the way to Keven's in Roosevelt. I arrived Sunday afternoon and it was wonderful! I remember that first time seeing Kev and I just felt so overwhelmed with joy. I love that man so much. Just being able to be in the same room has been a blessing.

So much has happened in this last week which makes it feel like I have been here a lot longer!! On Sunday, I signed up for a half marathon in Salt Lake on April 17th (Thanks Dana), so I have been training for that. Monday, our friend told me there was a job opening at his work. Tuesday, they called and I had an interview and Tuesday night they called me back and wanted me to start the next day. I had my first day of work on Wednesday and it's been great. I work at a car dealership here in Roosevelt as the front desk receptionist/secretary/cashier/whatever you want me to do.... I am actually really liking it and we have felt so blessed for me finding a job so quickly. Kev started his job with the Census on Monday and is still going to school. We feel so blessed and are so grateful for all that our Heavenly Father has provided for us.

We just got skype earlier this week, so it's been nice talking to family on that. We are trying to talk my whole family into getting it because it really feels like we aren't away from each other!! Anyway...that's all for now...i'll try doing better on posting more often!! have a good week eveyone!

I'm glad to hear that you and Keven have finally been reunited. That must have been so hard to be away from each other for so long!

Sad to hear you've left the state, but I'm happy that it means you can be with Keven, now. Hopefully you will come back and visit.

You can keep up with us on my blog, and I'll continue to read what's going on in your life. (I love being able to keep hearing about everything you guys were doing.)

You and Keven are great people and we hope to know you for many years to come. Bringing my family dinner when Max was first born was so sweet and I will always cherish that memory. Thank you again for everything!

One of these days, when we have more money and you are back in Orange County, we'd love for you to do one of your fabulous room makeovers!
