Extreme home makeover...in less than 24 hours!

Well...for those of you that don't know about Keven and I...we are freaks when it comes to wanting to "update" and "makeover" homes. We watch it on TV ALL the time and imagine all the stuff we are going to do to our made up home. Well we got to put our "imagination" to the test. In March, my parents both had spring break. My mom's goal was to get at least 2 bedrooms done. When I say done...I mean, FINISHED! That way she never has to think about those rooms again! Okay, so here's the thing. I know there are a lot of people that just get too caught up in life and just don't want to do stuff around the house. My parent's never really went into the other rooms. They were the guest rooms. The first bedroom we did was actually my old room in high school and the room that Keven and I stayed in when we lived with my parents. Well we always wanted to update it, but we had to wait for my parents to be prepared. :) Well low and behold...my mom came around! Oh man, when my mom said let's do it...I swear Keven and I were going crazy! We started going out that day and looking for stuff and getting ideas for colors and getting samples. Well because my parents had spring break, we were able to take her time to our advantage. We wanted to make sure that my mom was happy with the stuff and didn't think that it was "Weird" or anything. So Monday morning, we headed to the store at 11am and went shopping for a couple hours! We came back with paint, comforter, curtains, pillows....all to start a brand new room! Here are the BEFORE pictures. (We just threw the comforter on the bed)
AND.....VOILA!!! THE AFTER!

When Keven and I got home around 3:30 from shopping with my mom...we ate then went straight to work....and worked until 2am! Yep, that's how Keven and I are. We didn't want to paint it and then work on it again the next day...we just wanted to finish it all. We started painting and then we had to kick my mom out of the room so she would be surprised. PLUS, green isn't really a neutral color and we knew that my mom would be blown away and possibly unsure with seeing it half way done. SO we told her she wasn't allowed in the room until it was done. SO after we finished painting it, we took a break to let it dry and then we started with the curtains and the comforter. We went to bed at 2am and we actually couldn't sleep in it because we wanted my mom to see it first...so we slept on the couch! ha! Opening the door was so much fun! After we were finished, we knew exactly what accessories we wanted and went shopping for that. We were so happy with the results, and so were my parents....at least we hope! :) We went Tuesday to look for room #2. We found almost everything and started putting tape up for it. We had to leave Tuesday night, so when we came back Wednesday night, we started painting. We are kind of crazy and went to bed that morning at 6 am! ha! Those pictures of the other room will be sure to come... we have to print off some pictures, so we aren't completely finished with it. BUT I have been meaning to post at least one bedroom! Thanks Mom and Dad for trusting us! It was such a good experience and we can't wait to do YOUR room next...and the other guest room and the bathroom! :)
