There's no place like Home!

Well since our camera was stolen, it is very hard to keep up on this blogging world! As Lisa put it, no one likes a blog without pictures! So I realized that I never posted our pictures of our place...luckily they were saved to our computer! So here it is...HOME SWEET HOME!! We absolutely love living here! Everything is so close to us! For those of you that don't know, we moved to Costa Mesa, CA. One of the best parts of this move is the fact that we are 5 miles from the beach and 5 miles to work. We have definitley been blessed! Enjoy the tour of our house!!! This is one of our pools. We have two pools and 4 hot tubs. This is right next to our apartment, which is perfect location! The building in the back is the office on the top floor and the gym on the bottom floor.

We have two tennis courts. Another good part...there are vending machines right out side our place! No more runs to 7-11! :)This is just a walk to the pool. The left side is where the pool is. It's VERY green here!
This is our workout room. There are 3 treadmills to the left. It's very nice and convenient. They have showers in the locker room!
Here's the pool from the workout room. I love all the palm trees!
This is the front entrance of our place. There are quite a few waterfalls throughout. The good thing about living here is that we always have parking! :) There is underground parking. We have the first stall when you pull in! That's our scion baby! :)
July 12th was our move in date! I had to work that day, so Keven and my dad unloaded everything. That was the day that the fun began! That night we went to Home Depot and picked up paint, tracking lighting and wood to build shelves in our outdoor storage closet and in our walk in. Many people at work thought we were crazy because we had everything cleaned up and moved in that night. We were up until 4 am. I think the best part (or the most nerve wrecking) was when Keven was drilling holes in the ceiling to put up our track lights and sawing on our balconey at 3 am and then hammering in our closet. I was so scared we'd get noise complaints!! As you can see in the above picture was a hanging light. We didn't want to put our table there, so Keven (being the super hot handy man husband) took that off and wired the track lighting. MUCH BETTER!

Here is evidence of drilling holes on our ceiling! Sorry neighbors!

We are excited when we can get a desk, but this is what our balconey and that side looks like so far. We made the valences above the window but bought the curtains.
Keven sold his projector for full price, so we were able to get a new TV that we absolutely LOVE!
This is the balconey. We decided to put our table outside so we could have more living space. Plus, I love eating out there and enjoying the scenery. Side note: when we lived in Logan right after we were married, we bought this table for $20 at D.I. It was pretty beaten up, but Kev fixed it up and sanded it down and I painted it black and distressed the edges. It's our "masterpiece" and a VERY sturdy table now! This was the next day we moved in. I love to paint and Keven isn't too fond of it, so I was put to the task! I absolutely love this color. It was very bold, but I always wanted a red wall. I think after a few coats, it turned out really well. We luckily are able to paint our walls as long as we paint them back when we move out. Considering I love to paint...I was thrilled! :) Keven and I decided to make our headboard. We went to Joanne's fabric to get some fabric and some badding and we bought cheap wood at home depot. We put these together to make our homemade headboard and we absolutely love it! We ended up doing the same type of thing above our windows in the front room. As you can see...we live for HGTV! :)

This is the after shot. The red chair in the back is usually covered by a blanket, but you still get the hint. We have access to the balconey from our bedroom. We love our bedroom!
This is just a picture of our bathoom. Not much to see. Ha. Oh, it did have sliding doors, but it made the bathroom look blah and plus..they didn't even slide...you better believe Kev took those off the second we moved in!

You may be asking yourself...what the heck is that? WELL Let me tell you it is a painted navy blue square. ha! That's the before....
This is the after! Keven bought some crown molding at Home Depot and cut it and made a frame! I love it! For my last birthday...Keven blew up our first pictures of rock climbing. We wanted to hang them up, so we made this frame. I would say he did a mighty fine job! We painted the frame and now it's right above our TV.
I didn't take a before picture, but this is our closet. Keven built shelves so we had more room in our closet. The only down fall is that we don't have that much storage. Luckily we have a big storage closet on the balconey because all of our toys are out there!
This is the before picture. We wanted to paint a bold color in this room to bring more color...
Here's the after! It looks black in the picture but it's the prettiest navy blue color ever! This room is actually a work in progress though. We tried enlarging this sweet picture when we went to Hawaii, but because we didn't have that much megapixels, the picture wouldn't blow up to how big we wanted it. SO once we get a picture, I think it would definately complete this room.
We could never leave out this new addition to our family! His name is Spike and he is such a good little guy! I've been wanting a puppy for the past year and some, but we haven't lived in a place that a dog could really be free...so yea...not yet. We bought Spike when he wasn't doing too good. Some of this limbs were dismangled, but we had good feelings about him. Keven was so funny when he was putting him in his "bed" (the pot) and put a "blanket" on him to keep warm (his fertilizer). He definitely adds color to our place! We love you Spike!
